Just 26km north of Victoria on the tip of the Saanich Peninsula you'll find the wonderful small town of Sidney, BC. Surrounded by water we have the luxury of deep fjords of the Saanich Inlet to the west, the magical Gulf Islands with Haro and Georgia Straits to the east and the Strait of Juan De FuMt Bakerca to the south. Beacon Avenue is the main street from Highway 17 which runs through the town to the ocean, in a easterly heading. From there you will find several accommodations, restaurants, attractions and many convenient shop and stores. During the summer months on Thursday's afternoons the main street is closed down for the "Thursday Market" which has everything from fudge to blankets from the various venders. On the waterfront you will find the Beacon Park and Pavilion for outdoor concerts and events during the summer months. Looking east you will have one of the best views the 10,800' peak of Mt Baker and the world famous Sidney Spit marine park just two miles away.
